The following are a few tools that I tested and in some cases got lost in over the past month. I hope that you find a few of them useful.
Voice Dream Reader ( $4.99) – Text to Speech – With this app individuals using iPads can have their devices read out loud an entire novel with the tap of a finger; pause, rewind or fast forward when using voice over to take a test; or easily jump to different sections of the text. Kno – provides a method for students to digitally consume, organize, create and share learning materials and teaching/learning notes. http://www.kno.com/features
Lore – Open access, easy to use tool for instructors to manage courses, including discussions, grading, calendar, etc. http://lore.com/
Quora – “Quora’s mission is to share and grow the world’s knowledge….Ask any question, get real answers from people with first hand experience, and blog about what you know.” http://www.quora.com/
Skillshare – provides a global learning community where individuals can learn skills from each other. http://www.skillshare.com/
Stack Exchange – provides a network of questions and answer sites that discuss topics from software programming to cooking to photography and gaming. http://stackexchange.com/
